Dr. Shovon Sayeed is a dedicated hernia surgeon and one of the few endo-laparoscopic surgeons in our country specializing in hernia treatment. He excels in managing complicated and large abdominal hernias, which require specialized surgical techniques and a well-equipped operating theater.

Dr. Sayeed graduated from Dhaka Medical College, the country’s premier medical institution, in 2007. He completed his surgical training at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital, and Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, achieving his FCPS (Surgery) degree in 2017.

He is also an accomplished officer in the Bangladesh Civil Service (28th BCS), which he joined in 2010, and he has since served in over 10 different locations across the country. He currently holds the position of Senior Consultant (Surgery) at the Government Employees Hospital in Dhaka.

Due to his dedication and contributions in the field of surgery, he was awarded the FACS designation by the American College of Surgeons in 2020. Dr. Sayeed has undergone extensive training in endo-laparoscopic hernia surgery at GEM Hospital in Coimbatore, India, completing a one-year curriculum under the College of AMASI. He was awarded a DMAS in hernia surgery. His hard work and passion have established him as one of Bangladesh’s leading endo-laparoscopic hernia surgeons.
